A state in the southeast of the United States called Virginia has a long Atlantic coast and stretches from the Chesapeake Bay to the Appalachian Mountain chain. Being one of the original Thirteen Colonies, the State is home to several historical landmarks, including Thomas Jefferson’s iconic plantation Monticello in Charlottesville. A couple of museums that bring history to life with recreations of colonial and American Revolutionary War eras are Jamestown Settlement and Colonial Williamsburg.
Weed Legislation
The Marihuana Regulation and Taxation Act was approved by Governor Andrew Cuomo on March 31, 2021. Adults 21 and older are allowed to possess up to 3 ounces of cannabis for recreational purposes, and the law makes it possible for people convicted of marijuana-related felonies to have their records erased. It also creates two regulatory organizations to oversee the sale and distribution of cannabis. Democrats have been sponsoring legalization legislation in the State Assembly since 2013, according to the New York Times.
Where to Get Weed in New York
Despite the fact that New York recently approved new legislation, authorized patients are now able to purchase medical cannabis from state-regulated companies that run dispensaries throughout the state. A patient’s credentials and registry ID card must be presented. They are allowed to purchase as much cannabis as they need for up to 60 days, in the doses that their doctor has prescribed.
